SOUL ASYLUM frontman DAVE PIRNER is terrified his New Orleans house may have been destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, and is still waiting to hear whether the disaster has left him and his family homeless.

The 41-year-old RUNAWAY TRAIN rocker was visiting his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, when the hurricane struck, and he has since postponed plans to return to his luxury pad and studio in Louisiana due to the continuing chaos.

Pirner is unsure when he, his partner and their two-year-old son will go back to the city.
