THE SOPRANOS - SOPRANOS STAR LANDS SITCOM

Actor STEVE SCHIRRIPA has become the latest cast member of THE SOPRANOS to land a role in a primetime sitcom.

Schirripa, who plays BOBBY 'BACALA' BACALLIERI on the hit series, has signed a deal with DISNEY's TOUCHSTONE TV to star in a comedy based on his book A GOOMBA'S GUIDE TO LIFE, which is about stereotypes of Italian-Americans.

The production company is currently searching for a writer to adapt the book for television.

DREA DE MATTEO, who recently left The Sopranos, is now starring alongside MATT LE BLANC in his FRIENDS spin-off JOEY.
