Scottish rockers SNOW PATROL are escaping to the countryside to record their next album, because their friends are leading them astray.

The RUN hitmakers know they need to focus on making their follow up to last year's (04) massive selling album FINAL STRAW, and late night drinking sessions hinder their creativity.

Singer GARY LIGHTBODY says, "We have a place in Glasgow that we normally use, but if that doesn't work, we'll disappear into the countryside never to be seen again.

"It's probably best, because just living in Glasgow is a recipe for going out and drinking every night. Being far away from all of your buddies isn't easy, and it's not nice, but if you want to get some work done it's sometimes required."
