SNOOP DOGG and PARIS HILTON have sparked outrage among anti-drug campaigners after endorsing new marijuana-flavoured sweets.

CHRONIC CANDY is sold in a select number of stores across New York City, but now the stars have joined advertising campaigns for the sweet treats, angering activists.

Chronic Candy does not contain THC, the buzz-inducing ingredient in marijuana, but the product comes packaged in "nickel bags" and "20 sacks" and uses the motto, "Every lick is like taking a hit."

Manhattan councillor MARGARITA LOPEZ blasts, "How could we go into the market and create a product for children that encourages them to taste marijuana? What is the message? 'Use drugs', that is okay?"

Founder ANTONIO MONTANA, who began importing the candies from Switzerland four years ago, says, "Give me a list of what we can do to keep these things out of kids' hands, and I'll do it. I don't think kids should be eating them. It's an adult thing."
