BRENDA FASSIE STORIES

South African singer BRENDA FASSIE has suffered brain damage following a heart problem last week (ends30APR04).

The WEEKEND SPECIAL hitmaker, 40, was rushed to hospital in Johannesburg following heart failure, but earlier reports she is "brain dead" have since been denied.

Her record company CCP says, "Brenda Fassie's vital signs of life to date are stable and she is not brain-dead as has been extensively reported."
