JESSICA SIMPSON's is now an official trendsetter, with American women declaring she currently has the most wanted hairstyle.

The IRRESISTIBLE singer beat out the likes of JENNIFER ANISTON, MISCHA BARTON and ANGELINA JOLIE to clinch the top spot in the IN TOUCH WEEKLY poll, which was voted on by the magazine's readers.

Simpson says of her "Southern belle" style, "I feel that chopping my hair off gave me more of a free spirit. But I still think big Texas, Southern hair is amazing."
