JESSICA SIMPSON - SIMPSON IN BOOTS DILEMMA

JESSICA SIMPSON faced a last-minute panic at last night's (10JAN06) 32nd annual People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles - she couldn't find the right boots.

The pop star opened the show with her DUKES OF HAZZARD hit THESE BOOTS (ARE MADE FOR WALKING), but she almost had to hit the stage barefoot.

Speaking yesterday afternoon (10JAN06) at the dress rehearsal, Simpson's stylist JESSICA PASTER revealed, "We're having trouble with the boots; we just can't find the right boots."

But the problem was solved before the singer took to the stage for the raunchy opening performance.
