Singers and NEWLYWEDS stars JESSICA SIMPSON and NICK LACHEY exploded with fury during the upcoming new series of the reality show, when waiters poured food all over Simpson at a Miami restaurant.

The couple were being filmed by MTV eating out with Simpson's pal JAMIE-LYNN DISCALA at South Beach eaterie Smith + Wollensky on Sunday night (2JAN04) when a staff member accidentally spilled hot creamed spinach on the sexy singer's dress.

Restaurant staff and crew members reportedly burst out laughing - but Lachey failed to see the funny side.

According to PAGESIX.COM, the former boyband star fumed, "I want those f**ks to apologise to my wife."

Upon leaving, Lachey refused to pay the bill, which was eventually covered by MTV, who plan to screen footage of the row in the next series of Newlyweds, PageSix reports.
