ASHLEE SIMPSON has sparked speculation she's reignited her romance with RYAN CABRERA, after the stars were spotted smooching at a New York event.

Simpson, 20, and 22-year-old Cabrera were seen smooching backstage at Z100's JINGLE BALL at Madison Square Garden earlier this month (DEC04).

An onlooker says, "They made out right in front of us!"

A pal adds that the two are planning a romantic getaway for the New Year (JAN05).
