SHOOTING MARS YO GOTTI PARTY

NEWS BY ARTIST ALPHABETICALLY

A launch party for US rapper YO GOTTI's new CD release came to a dramatic close on Friday (19MAY06) after a gunman opened fire on the Tennessee gathering, injuring three people. More than 800 party-goers were present at Plush Club in Memphis when a single shot was fired in the early hours of the morning, according to AllHipHop.com. Memphis Police Sergeant VINCE HIGGINS says, "A shot was fired and one individual was shot in the abdomen. "He's now in stable condition at The Med. The investigation is ongoing, but this one bullet managed to injure three people." A suspect has yet to be identified although witnesses speculate the shooting may be the result of a feud between Yo Gotti and a rival crew, after Gotti released a track of the same name as MISCELLANEOUS' song MEMPHIS WALK. Both Miscellaneous and HUSTLE + FLOW rapper Gotti denies any involvement in the incident, with Gotti's attorney stating: "Yo Gotti's very dismayed at what happened the other night. "He doesn't condone that type of behaviour and feels as though it was irresponsible, but does not have any control over what individuals do in that kind of setting."
