BROOKE SHIELDS' New York musical is to close at the end of next month (JAN05) after a 15-month run.
WONDERFUL TOWN was an initial hit when it opened to rave reviews in 2003, but audiences dwindled during the latter half of last year (04).
Then, the show's star, DONNA MURPHY, was forced to bow out with illness. Shields took over the lead role in the autumn (04).
