Jack Osbourne - Sharon Osbourne's Cancer Sends Jack Into A Downward Spiral

Troubled Reality TV star JACK OSBOURNE identifies his rock matriarch mother SHARON's cancer illness as the cause of his overdose attempts earlier this year (03).

The teenager son of ex-BLACK SABBATH singer OZZY checked into a rehabilitation clinic in California earlier this summer (03) after his mum urged him to seek help for his problems.

Jack admits her potentially fatal illness, and the fact he wasn't told about the seriousness of it, led him into a downward spiral.

He explains, "It was really bad and I only now realise how bad it was affecting me. I was like, 'Your mum has cancer, OK. Be strong, be the strong one.'

"My mum had to go to hospital seven times, passed out because of pain, and every time she was in hospital I wouldn't come home and sit with my family, I'd call someone up and say, 'Meet me in a bar.'

"I'd go and just get obliterated drunk and I'd go on two week benders numbing the pain. For a while I was suicidal and I tried to kill myself.

"When she first went in a lot of bad things happened and they weren't letting me know. Mum had a blood transfusion, her heart stopped and they wouldn't tell me this stuff.

"Mum and dad would be talking and they'd slip up. It hurt a lot and I was constantly just drawing it out - drinking and using."
