SHAKIRA - SHAKIRA TAKING HISTORY LESSONS

Sexy singer SHAKIRA is putting her spare time to good use, by hiring a history professor to give her tutorials on her travel destinations.

The 28-year-old LA TORTURA singer, who has a reported IQ of 140, is already fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English and has recently taken up sculpting - and she's now eager to learn more.

Her manager CECI KURZMAN says, "We're getting someone on sabbatical so that each place we go she can get a history lesson."
