SHAKIRA - SHAKIRA SHUNNED PLASTIC SURGERY

Colombian pop star SHAKIRA was so insecure about her looks, she seriously considered plastic surgery to enhance her appearance. The MY HIPS DON'T LIE singer felt pressured to undergo the serious cosmetic procedures after seeing so many images of "perfect" celebrities. She explains, "A few years ago, I considered (plastic) surgery - breast augmentation and all kinds of things. "'Maybe my eyebrows should be higher. Maybe my lips should be bigger.' It was making me really bitter. "I'd think 'I'm not gonna look good for my fans!' But (eventually), I said, 'forget it.' "I started accepting myself the way I am and (realised that) I'm not perfect."
