Colombian singing sensation SHAKIRA fell in love with tragic NIRVANA frontman KURT COBAIN as soon as she heard SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT.

The UNDERNEATH YOUR CLOTHES hitmaker, 29, claims the 1991 hit song also awakened a passion she never knew she had.

She says, "I was 14. I saw that blonde guy on TV, and although I couldn't see his face well, I knew that I wanted to marry him.

"I couldn't get over that song.

"I watched the video and ran to the store to buy the album, and it awakened certain feelings in me that I didn't know how to describe."
