Hollywood actress CHLOE SEVIGNY has laughed off her party-girl image - insisting she's a laidback homegirl.

The OSCAR-nominated star, 29 - who has been tipped to move into the 'A List' for some years - claims she's a firm believer in old-fashioned values, and was flummoxed when the media tagged her a style icon.

BOYS DON'T CRY Sevigny explains, "The myth that I am a party girl - a total exaggeration.

"It used to bother me that people associated me more with fashion than film, but then there's a history of 'fashionable' actresses - such as MARLENE DIETRICH. And I love fashion."
