SUSAN SARANDON - SARANDON DEATH THREATS

Outspoken Hollywood star SUSAN SARANDON is terrified and lonely after receiving a string of horrifying death threats. The actress, who has been a political activist for years, has been branded an '(OSAMA) BIN LADEN lover' by press and public alike after declaring her opposition to the war in Iraq. She has also slammed US President GEORGE W BUSH as irresponsible for using the 9/11 terror attacks to justify his Middle East conflict. And the reaction to her views has been so fierce at times, it has left the DEAD MAN WALKING star hurt and afraid. She says, "I don't think that I ever thought someone would ever really kill me, although there were some people who said 'I'd like someone to knock her off' on the radio and stuff like that. "And I don't think that I thought that I'd really never work again, but when there is nobody else, when you look out on the field and everybody is quiet and they're all looking away and nobody's saying anything, it's a really scary place to be." Sarandon is currently in negotiations to tell the real life story of CINDY SHEEHAN in a film about the mother's protest over her son's death in Iraq.
