ADAM SANDLER is hoping to bring beloved US TV show GILLIGAN'S ISLAND back into vogue as a new big screen project.
The funnyman has roped BRIAN DENNEHY, ROB SCHNEIDER, Australian actor MICHAEL CATON and former beauty queen JENNIFER HAWKINS into the new Gilligan's Island movie, according to movie gossip website DarkHorizons.com.
Sandler will reportedly play Gilligan in the project, while Dennehy will play THE SKIPPER.
In the TV series, an eclectic group of stranded people attempted to escape a remote desert island.
