Russian billionaire ROMAN ABRAMOVICH, who runs England's CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB, has bought a French chateau which was once the summer residence of the DUKE OF WINDSOR.

The Duke retired to the Chateau De La Croe after he abdicated the throne in 1936.

The stately home near Cap-d'Antibes in the South of France has also been the home of KING FAROUK OF EGYPT.
