LOST - RODRIGUEZ ALLERGIC TO COCKROACHES

LOST star MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ faces a daily hell on the set of the desert island drama - she's allergic to cockroach resin. The actress breaks out in hives whenever she comes into contact with cockroaches, which litter the jungle sets of Lost. She says, "I break out in, like, mumps. You wouldn't recognise me from a can of paint. I have to be injected with steroids all the time. When you've seen me on Lost I'm literally pumped up with steroids." But the S.W.A.T. star has cut back on the amount of steroids she takes after hearing of the side effects. She adds, "They told me I'd have, like, permanent nerve damage - like a twitch or something - or I'd end up with some sort of psychosis, so I stopped taking the steroids. I was swollen for a while."
