Rod's Girl Blasts Gold Digger Claims
ROD STEWART's girlfriend PENNY LANCASTER has lashed out at the public and press for labelling her a 'gold digger'.
The photographer-turned-model has been dating the ageing rocker for four years and insists she is financially independent, despite enjoying lavish trinkets from her beau - who has a reputation for fiscal prudence.
Penny explains, "I've got my own chequebook. I don't get pocket money from Rod.
"I pay my way when I go out for meals with my friends. I don't have the budget for designer clothes, but Rod is very generous with me. He takes me on shopping sprees."
