CHRIS MARTIN - ROCKERS FIGHT IT OUT TO BE WORLD'S SEXIEST VEGETARIAN

British rockers CHRIS MARTIN and THOM YORKE are battling it out for the coveted 'World's Sexiest Vegetarian' crown.

The COLDPLAY and RADIOHEAD vocalists are forging ahead in the male category of PETA's (PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS) meat-free poll, with stars including ANDRE 3000, ANTHONY KIEDIS, BRYAN ADAMS, DAMON ALBARN, PAUL McCARTNEY and PRINCE hot on their heels.

Meanwhile, AVRIL LAVIGNE, NATALIE IMBRUGLIA, CHRISSIE HYNDE, ANNIE LENNOX and JOAN JETT are competing to be the ultimate queen of green in the female category.

PETA released a statement on their official website: "Vegetarians are sprouting up all over Hollywood! Going green is all the rage among the red carpet set, as more and more celebs are embracing broccoli and giving beef the boot.

"It's no easy task to narrow the list of vegetarian delights to just one vegetarian Venus or Valentino, after all, what's sexier than someone who exudes both passion and compassion?"
