ROBERT DUVALL - ROBERT DUVALL SICK OF FAMOUS LINE

Veteran actor ROBERT DUVALL is tired of fans quoting his most famous movie line at him.
The line, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning," was immortalised by Duvall when he played crazy LIEUTENANT COLONEL WILLIAM 'BILL' KILGORE in FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA's epic 1979 war movie APOCALYPSE NOW.
But the big screen legend concedes that fans of the film sometimes amuse him, rather than irritate him, when they quote the line - and get it wrong.
Duvall says, "They come up and say it like they're the only guys who are in on it. Even when I was doing research for THE APOSTLE, I met a preacher down south who said, "Oh, I don't go to the movies much, but I understand you have a famous line - 'I love the smell of gasoline in the morning!'
"And he smiled away. Got it all wrong, poor guy"
