THE SIMPLE LIFE star NICOLE RICHIE insisted DJ boyfriend ADAM GOLDSTEIN join her on the set of her new jeans advertising campaign - so he could keep her upbeat by playing her favourite tunes.

The socialite daughter of soul star LIONEL RICHIE suggested Goldstein spin records while she danced to them, after BONGO JEANS bosses asked her to keep the photo shoot "fun".

Richie says, "It was great. He played the exact music I wanted to hear!"

Goldstein adds, "My job on the set is to keep her having enough energy, to be happy, and do the adorable dances, and to keep her in the mode to model."
