LATEST: THE ROLLING STONES guitarist KEITH RICHARDS has undergone brain surgery to relieve a build-up of pressure following his fall in Fiji last month (27APR06). The 62-year-old rocker had the operation at The Ascot Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, this morning (08MAY06), but the band reveal he is already making a promising recovery. However, the complication means their scheduled Bigger Bang European tour has been set back from 27 May (06) until the start of next month (JUN06). The statement reads: "After complaining of headaches yesterday doctors thought it prudent to move ahead with a small operation to remove the pressure. "Keith Richards underwent surgery this morning. The operation was a complete success and Keith is already up and talking with his family today. "He will need a few weeks recuperation." Full details of the re-scheduling of the tour are expected to be released soon.
