RYAN REYNOLDS - REYNOLDS STUCK OVER COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS

VAN WILDER star RYAN REYNOLDS is facing a tough movie choice - whether to play THE FLASH or THE SUB-MARINER.

The movie star, who is engaged to rocker ALANIS MORISSETTE, is the favourite to bring superhero The Flash from the page to the big screen, but now he's also slated to replace DWAYNE 'THE ROCK' JOHNSON in The Sub-Mariner.

Reynolds says, "AVI ARAD, who owns Marvel Comics, bought it up to me. That would be something I'd be keen on. It's going to be a pretty big movie."

Former HARRY POTTER director CHRIS COLUMBUS has reportedly signed on to make the movie about the half man-half amphibian lifesaver.
