QUEEN LATIFAH - QUEEN LATIFAH TREATS HOMETOWN FANS AT PREMIERE

Rapper/actress QUEEN LATIFAH treated fans in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey last night (11JAN06), by inviting hundreds of locals to the premiere of her new movie LAST HOLIDAY.

The 35-year-old, who attended the glitzy bash with her co-star LL COOL J and members of her family, hosted the screening to say thanks to the neighbourhood she grew up in.

Latifah - real name DANA OWENS - said, "It just means I don't have to go far to get home from the premiere. My whole family is here, so it's wonderful. I can celebrate with Jersey for a change."
