Producer JOHNNY BRISTOL, who has worked with such artists as DIANA ROSS, STEVIE WONDER and MARVIN GAYE, has died of apparent natural causes. He was 65.

Bristol scored a hit in 1974 with HANG ON IN THERE BABY and contributed background vocals for DIANA ROSS + THE SUPREMES' farewell hit SOMEDAY WE'LL BE TOGETHER, which he originally recorded with JACKIE BEAVERS in 1961.

Bristol died on Sunday (21MAR04) in his Michigan home.
