PRINCE - PRINCE WAKES UP NEW YORK WITH FREE PARK SHOW

PRINCE brought Bryant Park in New York to a standstill this morning (16JUN06) when he reunited with percussionist SHEILA E for a free morning concert. Dressed in a pink suit and a sky blue shirt, the colourful star performed a tune from his new album 3121 and shortened version of classic hit LET'S GO CRAZY for thousands of fans, as part of a TV concert for US breakfast show GOOD MORNING AMERICA. Prince also used the free concert to introduce New York to his latest protege TAMAR, who performed her spirited new single REDHAIRED STEPCHILD with the pop/funk superstar. The performance didn't go so well for GMA's presenters - Prince refused to chat to them between tunes and interrupted them as they attempted to talk to him by instructing his band to start up a song instead.
