The uproar British Royal PRINCE HARRY caused by wearing a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party has damaged London's bid to stage the 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES.
Organisers trying to bring the international sporting event to the British capital have focused on the city's multi-culturalism as a centrepiece to their campaign, but Prince Harry's actions have reportedly undermined their message.
A senior British government minister rages, "It can only be damaging to London's chances. The bid is based on the idea of a modern Britain, made of many different communities working together."
In Paris - London's major rival to win the favour of the INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE - there has been jubilation at the misfortune which has befallen the UK city's image.
However, a spokesperson for the London bid remains defiant: "There is no evidence that this has damaged the bid."
