HARRY POTTER - POTTER'S FILM BREAKS $200 MILLION IN AMERICA

HARRY POTTER's latest adventure has passed the $200 million (GBP111 million) in just 10 days in America, thanks to a second staggering week at the box office.

The film, HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE, made $54.9 million (GBP30.5 million) in its second weekend on release, passing even what second-placed film WALK THE LINE has made in its two week run.

The JOHNNY CASH biopic remained a distant second, taking in a healthy $19.7 million (GBP11 million) over the weekend.

The highest new entry on the new box office list was DENNIS QUAID and RENE RUSSO's family film YOURS, MINE + OURS, which debuted at number three with a $17.5 million (GBP9.7 million) take.

Other new entries in the top 10 were musical RENT, at number five, comedy JUST FRIENDS, at six and R+B hunk USHER's film lead debut in IN THE MIX, at number 10.
