V FOR VENDETTA - PORTMAN HAILS WACHOWSKI BROTHERS

NEWS BY ARTIST ALPHABETICALLY

V FOR VENDETTA star NATALIE PORTMAN has paid homage to the movie's writers ANDY and LARRY WACHOWSKI, insisting they have created the greatest movie in 20 years. The actress was so keen to work with the movie moguls, who were also behind the cult MATRIX movie trilogy, she flew out to San Francisco, California, to plead for the role. She says, "I've not seen a movie like this - that's this big and this interesting - in at least the past 20 years. Not since the sixties and the seventies has there been some evidence of a big studio movie being compelling and visually exciting, entertaining, smart and interesting and something you could fight about afterwards. "Big, big Hollywood movies have been disappointing until this. JAMES MCTEIGUE and the Wachowskis have made something incredible."
