Top celebrity poker player KEVIN POLLACK considers BEN AFFLECK the best card shark in Hollywood - because his actor pal has lost a fortune.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS star insists there's no such thing as a good poker player who hasn't, at one time, lost a fortune - and Affleck, the new California State Poker Champion, is only now beginning to win back his losses.

He says, "I think that Ben Affleck, celebrity-wise, is the true poker play in the sense that he paid a lot of money for his education and has become a serious player.

"He just won a big tournament out in LA - 300-and-something thousand dollars... He probably paid three times that amount for his education, but he's starting to earn it back."

Pollack was forced to quit his hosting job on TV hit CELEBRITY POKER SHOWDOWN because he hated watching other stars playing cards.
