THE PIXIES - PIXIES EYE REUNION TOUR

Rock outfit THE PIXIES are planning to reunite for a tour next year (04).

But frontman FRANK BLACK - now a solo artist - is worried the gigs will ruin the reputation of the band, whose efforts are regularly hailed by today's most respected stars.

He says, "I do dream about the Pixies reunion, I do have to say.

"It's like those schoolboy dreams when you don't do your homework and you don't study for the test, but I'm at the gig and we're hanging out, but it's an utter failure and I don't know the songs, and hardly anyone turns up for the gig and people walk out.

"That's what I'm afraid of, that it'd be a big, big failure."

However according to MTV, bandmates JOEY SANTIAGO, KIM DEAL and DAVID LOVERING will join Black on an April world tour, and may even record some new material.
