BRAD PITT - PITT BUYS TAYLOR'S BURTON BOAT

BRAD PITT has bought wife JENNIFER ANISTON a luxury yacht that was once given to DAME ELIZABETH TAYLOR by RICHARD BURTON.

TROY star Pitt paid $5.4 million (GBP3 million) for the 98-year-old Kalizma, nearly 40 years after late Burton bought it for $145,000 (GBP80,000) to congratulate Taylor on her OSCAR win for WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

A friend of the couple says, "The boat used to be owned by Hollywood's golden couple, and 40 years on, history is repeating itself.

"Brad wanted Jennifer to know how much he thinks of her. This was the perfect way."

Pitt bought the vessel, filled with antiques and art, from a wealthy Indian brewing businessman.
