BRAD PITT - PITT AND ANISTON AWAIT FIRE NEWS

Hollywood couple BRAD PITT and JENNIFER ANISTON are anxiously awaiting news after hearing an out-of-control fire is threatening their lavish Californian home.

The couple - who married in 2000 - have spent the past few years painstakingly designing their dream house, and are terrified that the blaze will destroy all their hard work.

At present, Pitt is shooting sequel OCEAN'S TWELVE in Europe and his wife - who recently finished work on sitcom FRIENDS - is at his side.

They received work that all fifty horses on their ranch were rounded up in preparation for a possible evacuation of the oceanfront love-nest, as it surrounded on three sides by highly combustible brush.

A neighbour says, "The blaze is still not under control. The main road running past the house has been closed off to traffic."
