British pop duo PETER AND GORDON are planning a reunion after nearly 40 years apart.

The WORLD WITHOUT LOVE hitmakers - PETER ASHER, brother of actress JANE ASHER, and GORDON WALLER - notched up nine top 40 UK singles between 1964 and 1967 before splitting up in 1968.

A source says, "They'll be performing in concert for the first time since 1967 at a BEATLES convention in New York and will then be interviewed."
