Writer/actor MALACHY MCCOURT is planning to run for governor of New York State, and has already got a killer slogan - 'Don't waste your vote, give it to me'. The brother of ANGELA'S ASHES author FRANK MCCOURT is intent on winning the Green Party nomination for the election later this year (NOV06). MCCourt's manifesto includes banning nuclear energy in New York State and ditching the death penalty. He insists, "It is quite clear in the Bible, 'Thou Shalt Not Kill'."
