LUCIANO PAVAROTTI - PAVAROTTI WEDDING ATTRACTS VETERAN STARS

Tenor LUCIANO PAVAROTTI will be joined by a host of veteran pop stars when he marries long term love NICOLETTA MANTOVANI in their native Italy tomorrow (13DEC03).

The NESSUN DORMA singer's pals SIR ELTON JOHN, STING and BONO will all fly into his home town of Modena for the happy occasion, as will UNITED NATIONS Secretary General KOFI ANNAN.

Pavarotti, 67, separated from first wife ADUA VERONI in 1996 after his affair with Mantovani, 33, was exposed. The couple suffered tragedy in January (03) when Mantovani went into an early labour and one of their twins, a son, died.

However, baby ALICE survived the trauma - and Pavarotti has vowed to retire at the age of 70 in 2005 to devote more time to his young family.
