PAUL RUDD - PAUL RUDD'S FRIENDS FAUX-PAS

FRIENDS actor PAUL RUDD nearly ruined his chances on the set of the hit sitcom - by running over JENNIFER ANISTON's foot.

The SHAPE OF THINGS star appears as regular character MIKE, who dates PHOEBE, in the long-running show.

But fun and games on the set nearly turned into career suicide for the CLUELESS hunk.

Paul says, "Jennifer had hurt her foot, so she was walking around with a cane.

"She had one of those two-wheeled electric scooter things, a SEGWAY. MATT LE BLANC had a go, so I thought, 'Cool, so will I.'

"I got on and Jennifer was holding onto it, while I tried to get my balance. Then I completely lost control and accelerated over her bad foot. She screeched.

"The producers lost all colour in their faces. I'm sure they were thinking, 'Is there any way we can fire this guy and still get the story done?' "
