LATEST: THE MIRACLE WORKER star PATTY DUKE was up and walking on Friday (05NOV04), just two days after cardiac surgery.
The OSCAR-winning actress, mother of LORD OF THE RINGS star SEAN ASTIN, has been upgraded to good condition, says TERI FARR, spokeswoman for Idaho's Kootenai Medical Center.
Duke, 57, underwent single bypass surgery on Wednesday (03NOV04) at the North Idaho Heart Center. She was "up and walking a bit" on Friday and is expected to make a full recovery, says Farr.
