ANNA PAQUIN credits her family with keeping her grounded when she landed a surprise film role aged only nine. Paquin, now 23, won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in 1993 movie THE PIANO, but she insists early stardom didn't "screw her up" thanks to her healthy upbringing. She says, "I lived in New Zealand. I never watched television. My mum and dad were very into music lessons and lentils and no sugar. "I'd never even heard of the Oscars, and it didn't screw me up because my family were like, 'OK, you can do this as long as it's a positive thing and no one's trying to turn you into a media puppet.' "It was very important to them that I got to develop at my own speed emotionally."
