Animal lover PAMELA ANDERSON isn't letting her book promotion trip to London go without having a stab at royal malpractice - she's urging QUEEN ELIZABETH II to banish the bear pelt hats her guards wear.

The Canadian superstar also encouraged fans, who turned out for her book signing at London's Virgin Megastore, to sign the petition.

Meanwhile, PETA pal STELLA McCARTNEY has already got active on the back of the new campaign - she has offered to design new hats for the guards, providing samples of fake fur to the Ministry of Defence, which is considering the switch.
