GWYNETH PALTROW - PALTROW DISCOVERS RELATIONSHIP WITH MOTHER

GWYNETH PALTROW is doubly thankful for the birth of her daughter APPLE in 2004, because it also helped her bond with her own mother.

The PROOF star admits she once had a difficult relationship with her actress mother BLYTHE DANNER, but they are now closer than ever.

And MEET THE FOCKERS star Danner is thrilled about becoming a grandmother for the second time.

Paltrow says, "We've always been close but there's always been that element of friction.

"Me being a horrible teenager to her. Nothing really terrible or dark."

But Paltrow insists the balance of their relationship changed following the birth of her daughter with husband CHRIS MARTIN. She says, "I thought, gosh, does she love me as much as I love my daughter?

"The mother-did-this, she-didn't do that, that adolescent stuff - it made me let go of it."
