GWYNETH PALTROW - PALTROW AWAITS COMPLETION OF SPANISH HIDEAWAY

Actress GWYNETH PALTROW has spoken of her plans to build a holiday hideaway in Spain, where she hopes to escape the paparazzi and spend quality time with her husband CHRIS MARTIN and newborn daughter APPLE.

The SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE star was given land near the city of Talverna de la Reina, south-west of the capital Madrid, as a Christmas present from JESUS LAZARO CANO and JULIA LUIZ BLANCO - a Spanish couple who took her in when she was a 15-year old on a school trip.

And now Paltrow is excited about building a getaway there, as she is sick of city living.

She says, "At this point in my life, I am craving space, air, cleanliness. I want to be able to see sky. I want solitude and you just don't get that in New York.

"Life is so short and precious, you should do things that make you inspired, that push you and teach you something. I already come here four times a year, because it is the furthest from Hollywood that you can get."
