GWYNETH PALTROW and CHRIS MARTIN had great difficulty in keeping their wedding plans a secret last year (03) - because they had arranged it a whole month before they walked down the aisle.

The OSCAR-winning actress and COLDPLAY frontman Martin wed in a low-key ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, on 6 December (03) but they refused to invite any of their relatives or friends to the nuptials, preferring to keep it all under wraps.

Paltrow says, "We didn't tell anybody - we didn't tell a soul. It was just totally secret. It was great, really nice. It was just the way I wanted it.

"It was hard to do 'cause obviously you're excited, but it was great. It was really cool."

The only other person in attendance besides the couple at the ceremony was a lady named SHEILA, who married them.
