Hollywood beauty GWYNETH PALTROW is glad she has settled in London because she considers America an increasingly dangerous place to live following a series of controversial foreign policy decisions.

The SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE actress feels much more comfortable raising her baby daughter APPLE in Europe where she lives with her COLDPLAY rocker husband CHRIS MARTIN.

She tells PageSix.com, "I've always been drawn to Europe. America is such a young country, with an adolescent swagger about it. But I feel that I have a more European sensibility, a greater respect for the multicultural nature of the globe."

And Paltrow is no fan of US President GEORGE W BUSH.

She tells the New York Daily News, "I just had a baby and thought, 'I don't want to live there.' Bush's anti-environment, pro-war policies are a (disgrace)."
