BRAD PAISLEY - PAISLEY AND CASH FILM TAKE HOME PRISMS

Country music ruled at the Prism Awards in Beverly Hills on Thursday night (27APR06) when BRAD PAISLEY and JOHNNY CASH biopic WALK THE LINE claimed two of the event's top prizes. The awards, which are presented for accurate portrayals of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and addiction in films and on TV, also honoured LAW + ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and actress S EPATHA MERKERSON for her performance in acclaimed TV movie LACKAWANNA BLUES. Walk The Line won the prize for Theatrical Feature Film, while Paisley's quirky tune ALCOHOL claimed the night's Music Recording honour.
