Owen Too Busy For Bond
British actor CLIVE OWEN is too busy with various film projects to pursue the role of superspy JAMES BOND - even if movie bosses do decide to cast him in the coveted part.
Producers have been stalling for months over who will replace PIERCE BROSNAN as secret agent 007 when the franchise returns to the big screen in 2006.
Earlier this week (beg23MAY05) CLOSER star Owen urged studio WARNER BROS and filmmakers EON PRODUCTIONS to make a casting decision - but has now revealed he has other arrangements.
He says, "I've got three films lines up, all really interesting with great directors. So I'm booked out.
"Selfishly, I'd love to do it, because then I'd get a shot at writing it. Or rewriting it. Or just visiting the set."
