OUTKAST - OUTKAST GO BACK TO THE TOP

Rappers OUTKAST have been given two good reasons to celebrate today (05NOV03) - their new album SPEAKERBOXXX/THE LOVE BELOW is back on top of America's album charts and it has been awarded triple platinum status.

The two-CD set has now spent three of its six weeks on release at the top of the chart after jumping back to the top of the BILLBOARD 200.

And, with another strong week of sales, the album has hit 1.4 million sales in total, which counts double because the package is a double disc - and that's enough to get them a triple platinum award.

Meanwhile, rockers THE STROKES have scored their career-best sales week with their second album ROOM ON FIRE, which has debuted in the charts at number four, with 126,000 copies sold.
